The Waterfront Country Club is a full service Club that is nestled beside the picturesque Smith Mountain Lake (SML).  It is here that you will find enough activities to keep you as busy as you care to be.  From the 500 miles of shoreline, the natural woods and beauty, the State Park, the vista views of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, SML offers a destination that anyone to enjoy.  You can have anywhere from a full day of activities or simply do nothing as you sit and watch people play on the water or watch the deer walk by.  Located in Central Virginia along the Blue Ridge Mountains between Bedford and Franklin County, SML is central to both Roanoke, Lynchburg and many parts of northern North Carolina.  SML is a two hour drive north of Raleigh and Greensboro, NC, and a four hour drive south of Washington D.C.  By air, the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport is approximately a forty-five minute drive to the The Waterfront.  Residents move to SML to enjoy full-time what vacationers come from all over the world to enjoy, namely: boating, fishing, countless water sports, championship golf, world-class historic sites, unique shopping opportunities from antiques to art galleries, local cuisine, the many entertainment options or to simply to sit back and enjoy the glorious scenery that makes SML a complete destination in which to visit and live.
